🌟 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐮𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩! 🌟

Exciting developments are underway at LYDIA project! Our recent online project M12 meeting on February 13th, 2024, showcased remarkable advancements in our mission to transform the hydrogen industry.

We’re excited to announce that our CEO, Dr. Iakovos Yakoumis, will be featured in the #PROMET-H2 Workshop titled “𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐑𝐌 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐄𝐌𝐖𝐄 – 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐄𝐔 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 Promet-H2” scheduled for March 6th, as part of the prestigious European Hydrogen Energy Conference (EHEC) 2024 taking place at the BILBAO EXHIBITION CENTRE (BEC) Center in Spain from March 6th to 8th.” 🔍 This workshop will spotlight #PROMET-H2’s advancements in developing a #PEMWE stack with reduced costs, showcasing innovations such as minimized Ir loading, stainless steel in PTL manufacturing, and novel recycling methods.

🎤 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞: “PGMs Recycling from Electrolyzer and Fuel Cell Stacks for a Circular Hydrogen Economy Model”

💡 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: #Fuelcells and #electrolyzers contain platinum group metals (#PGMs) as catalysts on the electrodes to speed up the reaction between hydrogen and oxygen. #Recycling PGMs can significantly reduce CO2 emissions associated with mining. ♻️ To fully embrace circular economy models, we need methods to recover these precious materials. By recycling we can improve stack economics and help reduce the environmental impact of mining and building PGM-based stacks.

🌱 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐒’ 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝: MONOLITHOS proudly presents an #environmentallyfriendly method to #recover over 99% of platinum group metals (PGMs) and polymeric electrolyte membranes from End-of-Life fuel cell stacks. This preserves their efficiency and performance for reuse in constructing new #fuelcell or #electrolyzer stacks. The method has recently been patented by MONOLITHOS (20240100081) in the Hellenic Industrial Property Organization.
