MONOLITHOS lab possesses specialized heating equipment (two muffle furnaces of 3L and 60L volume), that can be used for materials heat treatment processing. The furnaces can be used for several routine laboratory operations including solvent removal, calcination/reduction of catalysts and accelerated artificial hydrothermal ageing.
Both furnaces are equipped with a Digital programmable temperature controller capable of storing up to 30 programs (up to 8 steps per program). Heating ramp can be set at 1-20 °C/min, while the maximum working temperature is 1100 °C for the 60L furnace and 750 °C for the 3L furnace, respectively.
