Electrochemical test bench for corrosion evaluation

The electrochemical test bench is used for corrosion testing of metallic components of electrochemical devices (electrolyzers and fuel cells). The experimental set up consists of a water jacket three-electrode corrosion cell, a potentiostant, a Pt plate counter electrode and a reversible hydrogen reference electrode. Corrosion resistance properties of metallic bipolar plates are investigated in O2 saturated H2SO4 solution at 25-60°C to simulate the anode side of PEMWE environment under operating conditions. Corrosion parameters are determined from potentiodynamic polarization curves.
