🌟 MONOLITHOS at HYCELTEC 2024 🌟

We are thrilled to share that our CEO, Iakovos Yakoumis, recently participated as a keynote lecturer at the 𝐈𝐗 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧, 𝐅𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐇𝐘𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐓𝐄𝐂 2024, held in Milazzo, Italy, from June 30th to July 3rd. 🔋

An insightful presentation on “𝐏𝐆𝐌𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐲𝐳𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐇𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥” was given, as part of LYDIA project (https://lydiaproject.eu/), that MONOLITHOS coordinates.

💡The LYDIA project aims to commercialize #lowcost components (30% lower than commercial) for #fuelcells and #electrolyzers through the #recycling of #spent Membrane Electrode Assemblies (#MEAs). MONOLITHOS’ role is to upgrade the hydrometallurgical leaching process for Platinum Group Metals (#PGMs) recycling from End-of-Life MEAs. ♻️

🌍 Our #innovative, #ecofriendly and #sustainable recycling process is designed to recover valuable materials, such as #electrocatalysts from fuel cells and electrolyzers, with #highyields. This method not only preserves the efficiency of the recovered materials, but also opens up new opportunities for their second-life applications, making significant strides towards a #circular #hydrogen #economy.
