MONOLITHOS’ significant milestone in the LIFE CAT4HEAVY PROJECT
🚛 We’re thrilled to announce a significant milestone in the LIFE CAT4HEAVY PROJECT with the successful completion of the 8th #retrofit of a public #truck!
🌍 Did you know that Public-use Heavy-Duty Vehicles (waste collection, trucks, lorries, cranes etc.) contribute significantly to transport gas emissions, accounting for 33% of urban center emissions despite constituting only 5% of total vehicles?
🛠️ Thanks to the innovative Catalyst-based Emission Control System (#CECS) developed by MONOLITHOS, these retrofitted trucks now exceed EURO VI emission standards. This system, composed of a Three-Way Catalyst (#TWC), catalyzed Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Oxygen Reduction System (#ORS), and Reduction Catalyst (#RC), ensures cleaner air quality by effectively reducing carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, and soot emissions.
💡Leveraging patented technologies from MONOLITHOS including the “COPPER AND NOBLE METAL POLYMETALLIC CATALYSTS FOR ENGINE EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT”(EPA1/3569309) and “DEVICE AND PROCESS FOR THE TREATMENT OF ENGINE FLUE GASES WITH HIGH OXYGEN EXCESS,” (EPA8/3542887), this retrofit solution offers an affordable, highly efficient, and #environmentally friendly option for diesel-fueled Heavy-Duty Vehicles.
