ECO2Fuel Project Description

ECO2Fuel aims to design and develop the worldwide first low-temperature 1MW direct electrochemical CO₂ conversion system at TRL 7 to produce low cost and sustainable synthetic liquid e-fuels and chemicals without the need for H₂ or Critical Raw Materials (CRMs).

MONOLITHOS participation role

MONOLITHOS will supply electrocatalysts for the pilot plant and the final 1MW demonstrator. Moreover, MONOLITHOS is responsible to recover non-Critical Raw Materials (non-CRMs) from spent Membrane Electrode Assemblies (MEAs). In addition, MONOLITHOS will take part in the performance evaluation of end-use compatibility of the obtained fuels for passenger cars.
