HERAQCLES Project Description
HERAQCLES aims to deliver a 25kW Alkaline Electrolyte Membrane (AEM) electrolyser stack including balance-of-plant with high performance and durability at low capital costs. HERAQCLES targets to validate novel design-for-manufacturing architecture and innovative components developed for automated production processes at industrial scale. (The project is supported by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership and its members under Grant Agreement No 101111784).
MONOLITHOS participation role
MONOLITHOS leads the development of an updated eco-friendly hydrometallurgical leaching process to recover electrocatalysts and other valuable materials from Alkaline Electrolyte Membrane (AEM) electrolyser’s Membrane Electrode Assemblies (MEAs), assuring perspectives for 2nd life application. In addition, MONOLITHOS is involved in life cycle environmental, societal and cost analysis.
