PROMET_H2 Project Description
PROMET_H2 aims to develop a 25 kW pressurized Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) water electrolyser at a lower capital cost than that achieved to date (500-700 €/kW), without compromising its performance and durability, where the produced H2 will be used in a pilot plant for producing methanol from CO2.
MONOLITHOS participation role
MONOLITHOS is involved in the recycling of Critical Raw Materials (CRMs) from Membrane Electrode Assemblies (MEAs) and will provide data for the evaluation of components’ recycling. In addition, MONOLITHOS takes part in ex situ characterization of coated bipolar plates by performing Interfacial Contact Resistance (ICR) and corrosion resistance measurements.
