A system for the H₂-reduction of catalysts is also available in MON’s premises. The system is composed of the gas feed region which contains the reactant gases (H₂ and He, certified standards) and the mass flow controllers for achieving the desired Η₂ partial pressures in the feed (0-100% H₂ in He balance). The reactor is a stainless-steel vessel where the catalyst powder is placed. After loading the catalyst, the reactor is placed inside the oven where the temperature can be increased at a selected rate up to 750 °C.
