RISBRIEFCASE Project Description

RISBRIEFCASE represents the evolution of the 3D briefcase initiative, aimed at fostering a deeper societal engagement with minerals and enhancing awareness regarding mining operations. In its latest iteration, this project seeks to further its impact by reuniting key partners from previous editions and welcoming new task partners and collaborators into the consortium. Through strategic collaborations and efforts, the network aims to extend its reach to encompass all RIS areas while simultaneously commercializing the Briefcase services, fostering greater awareness and engagement in minerals and mining. (Funded by the EIT RawMaterials under the Grant Agreement 22022).

MONOLITHOS participation role

MONOLITHOS’ participation extends to the project’s dissemination efforts and the establishment of network contacts. Our role involves supporting the creation of networks in Cyprus and Greece and hosting demonstrative events. This involvement is integral to solidifying an autonomous network that addresses key regional challenges, including low recycling rates, a shortage of specialized workforce and experts within the minerals sector, and limited acceptance of mining operations within these regions.  Together, these efforts pave the way for a more sustainable and informed approach to minerals, fostering a stronger relationship between society and mining operations.
